Economic Digest is a long-running Hong Kong financial weekly. As the publication modernised, I designed its covers and reworked the masthead itself, helping move a traditional finance title into a cleaner, more current visual language.

The old logo spelt out the full name across the top, taking up space and feeling dated. I restructured it around a single character, “經”, with the full name set underneath. It freed up the cover for imagery, gave the title more presence, and signalled the refresh at a glance. From there the system had to flex: the same identity carrying a sombre Benjamin Franklin photo one week and a crying DiDi logo the next, serious market analysis and lighter consumer-tech stories alike, all still reading as one brand on the shelf. Every cover here is mine: different stories, different moods, one identity underneath.
