I draw quiet things loudly, and loud things quietly.

Bio

I'm a visual designer and illustrator with close to a decade in editorial, brand, and digital work.

I spent several years leading cover design at Bloomberg Businessweek Chinese Edition and Economic Digest, picked up a SOPA Award along the way, and have since worked with clients across publishing, advertising, fashion, and the blockchain world, which is as varied as it sounds.

These days I work with AI tools daily, for images, content, and video, and I treat them like any other part of the kit: useful when they serve the idea and ignored when they don't. I have a particular eye for work that needs to land fast and still look good doing it.

When I'm not designing, I'm listening to city pop and dream pop, watching something my friends have never heard of, or failing to convince my cat Momo that the food bowl is, in fact, full.

Tools & Texture

Digital where it's faster, by hand where it's better. Procreate and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) for the most part and oil and soft pastels when a piece needs real texture. I also work with AI as a production tool creating images, content, video and more recently building things like this site with it.
